What dates again? IM not sure if ti will conflict with another trip already planned. I know that for 2009, i will definately be makign a trip to wherever it is scheduled to be held at.

Im hosting the 2009 show in Orlando next summer....the dates for this show are July 10-12 in Dallas...Just do a google search Airliners Internatinal Dallas..

(Hint Hint: To any of the vendors who may be attending.) I have requests from several of my collector friends who aren't able to attend -- especially a few airline spoon collectors.
I was lucky enough to attend AI2006 here in the DC area and to make last year's event in KC a family vacation. I've already but a note in my calendar for Orlando.

Its very probable that I will be able to attend the 2009 meet. MCO seems to be my most frequent dest. because I have a lot of family there. Hmmm.....maybe I'll use my award ticket there.....
While I am happy to have the show 3 miles from my house this year, I will agree with you. I don't think any of the shows got as much hype as AI2004 in LAX...It's an automatic draw...People from all over had no problem hitching a ride to LA for a great show, excellent spotting, and of course In & Out Burger. DFW offers well, a great show Im sure, and Whataburger?

I won the "name the plane" contest at the banquet last year, and I'm looking forward to defending my title at this year's banquet.
For me, the highlight will be seeing Robert Serling. I have many of his books, and it will be really nice to talk with him, and buy his new book about Alaska Airlines.

LGA777 will be there mid day Thurs thru mid day Sat. Really surprised that more a.netters don't attend this great event, it's so worth it even if you just do a day trip, and ride the free hotel van over to the show. A real bargain for the many airline employees are also enthusists on this site. Since 1987 in Indy have attended every show except Toronto in 1990 and Kansas City last year which I regretted missing.
Just a little tip, for those who are model collectors this is by far the best place in the world to be if you want to grow your collection, so many vendors, and some good bargains to if you know how to wheel and deal, especially towards the end of the show on Saturday.
Hope to see some of you their and for those just finding out and it's to late try and plan on AI2009 in Orlando.

I will miss DFW but should make MCO next year. I liked the Kansas City show last year.
It was homecoming for me at the MCI maintenance base. I also enjoyed the BBQ dinner at MKC. I worked there too.
The KC host did a First Class Job taking care of all the folks with things to do around town
and things to see.

Im still hoping on MCO. Due to school events happening, i may be transferring to Cal State LA for my acviation degree and it might take a bit of time to get settled down there. But are there any plans to bring it to the west coast anytime soon just in case im not able to make it. I have seen the Airliners International table twice at the SFO airline show which i have been going to for about three years now.

Typically, Airliners International is somewhere on the West Coast once every 3 or 4 years, but it hasn't been to the West Coast since the 2004 LAX show (2005 MKE, 2006 IAD, 2007 MCI, 2008 DFW, and 2009 MCO).
I heard some speculation PDX would put in a bid for 2010, but I haven't heard anything official.
